About
A little bit about what I'm about...

I'm an Americana/Bluegrass singer-songwriter originally from Dallas, TX who has made my home in East Nashville, Tennessee since graduating from Belmont University in 2023. Beginning to take my writing more seriously in high school, I recorded my first single in Dallas with Milo Deering, a touring musician with Don Henley who also produced my subsequent, first record Songs I Wrote this Year and the following singles, that I wrote during my freshman year processing my faith and relationships away from home and the great big, bad Covid cancelling of plans.

During my time at college, I cherished being a member of the Bluegrass Ensemble for 3 years and go the opportunity to travel all around the country performing standards and my own originals with this talented group of performers and many of my dearest friends, which proudly boasts alumni in bands such as the Arcadian Wild, Downriver Collective, and Zach & Maggie. While a member of the group, I got to practice my craft even more and write songs for the band to play at our performances at Belmont and beyond. Most notably, my original “Holding the Hope”, which I cowrote with my hero and friend, Andy Gullahorn, was featured at Belmont’s President’s Concert, which is held for attenders and donors every spring on campus in the Fisher Center, with the Bluegrass Ensemble backed up by an entire string section made up of Belmont students. It was for sure one of the biggest "pinch me" moments that I've had so far!

Additionally, while at Belmont, I began attending Reformed University Fellowship and began leading worship there on Tuesday nights, which led her into her current vocation at City Church of East Nashville as their Worship Director. Truly, for me it was a beautiful story that God weaved of bringing me right where I needed to be and providing more goodness than I could have imagined or planned for myself. As well as beginning church work, my voice joined with those who have gone before me in Indelible Grace, which is the music group that has flourished from this on campus ministry. Most recently, I was a featured vocalist on their live record “Bright Hope for Tomorrow” that celebrated the 50th anniversary of RUF in Memphis, Tennessee in 2023.

In my upcoming release on November 22nd, “Natural Disaster”, I am hopeful to bring my worlds together of family, faith, and folk music, exploring the landscape of womanhood, making sense of the harm that has been handed down, and finding healing for the wounds of being a human in the world. I wish that these songs can be a gift to those who listen to my words, as they have been to me in getting to sit with and write them!
